2. General information

We process personal data only where necessary to provide the website and services, communicate with visitors, fulfil contractual or pre-contractual obligations, comply with legal duties or protect legitimate interests. The applicable framework includes the GDPR and German data-protection law.

3. Website hosting and server logs

When the website is accessed, hosting providers may process technical log information such as IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, browser, operating system and access status. This is required for secure and reliable delivery. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention follows the provider configuration and security requirements.

4. Newsletter and launch updates

When you subscribe to WR71 launch updates, we process the e-mail address and the technical information needed for double opt-in confirmation, subscription administration and proof of consent. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe route provided in the newsletter process.

5. Contact

Information submitted by e-mail or telephone is used to answer the enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare or perform a contract. Legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Consent settings and local storage

The website stores the privacy selection locally under wr71_consent_v1. The welcome destination may optionally be remembered under wr71_gateway_choice_v1. The privacy-page language may be remembered under wr71_privacy_language_v1. These entries remain on the visitor’s device and can be removed through browser settings.

7. WR71 Instant Master audio processing

Uploaded audio is processed solely to perform the requested mastering workflow. The system is designed to remove originals, previews, output metadata, rendered files and session-related caches through lifecycle cleanup. A delayed cleanup may briefly retain completed download files to allow reliable delivery. Abandoned sessions require server-side expiry cleanup as an additional safeguard.

8. Access model

The planned customer model does not require a conventional permanent account. Access is intended to use an e-mail address and a temporary or time-limited access code. Minimal access, contractual and payment-reference information may be retained where required to provide, renew, terminate or document access.

9. Payments

Stripe and PayPal are planned but are not yet active in the public service. This notice will be updated before payment activation to describe the selected providers, transmitted data, legal bases, retention and any international transfers. WR71 does not intend to store card numbers, bank credentials or PayPal passwords.

10. External links

Connections to external services such as YouTube are established only when you follow the corresponding link. The external provider’s own privacy terms then apply.

11. Recipients and processors

Service providers may process data on our behalf, particularly website hosting, server hosting and e-mail delivery providers. Data is disclosed only where necessary for service delivery, contractual performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent.

12. Your rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing. Consent can be withdrawn for the future. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.

13. Security and updates

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures and encrypted HTTPS transmission. This privacy notice will be updated when services, providers, payment functions or legal requirements change.

Transparency note: The mastering service is currently in beta preparation. Payment processing and the final public access model are not yet active. Those sections must be legally and technically reviewed immediately before public launch.
